Skills for People have a new Chief Executive

Scott VigursScott Vigurs has joined us as our new Chief Executive. Scott brings over 30 years of experience in healthcare, leadership, and supporting people. He helps disabled people and their families to live the lives they want.

Scott has worked in many different parts of health and care. He is a kind and thoughtful leader who listens to people. For lots of years, Scott has led services that put people first.

Scott said, “I am excited to join Skills for People. This charity has helped people for over 40 years. I want to keep this great work going. I look forward to working with the team. We will keep helping disabled people to be strong, confident and included in their communities.”

Scott will build strong connections. He will help Skills for People to adapt to the needs of our people. Liz Wright, our current Chief Executive, who is leaving the charity after more than 30 years, said, “I am sure Scott’s experience and kindness will help the charity grow and keep making a difference.”
