Skills for People to Continue the Work of the Josephine and Jack Project

Skills for People is excited and honoured to announce that we will be actively exploring how to continue the important work of the Josephine and Jack Project as the charity prepares to close. We are very grateful to the Josephine and Jack Project for trusting us with their creative and impactful work, which has made such a difference for people with learning disabilities.

For many years, the Josephine and Jack Project has delivered engaging and accessible learning experiences. Using their life-sized anatomically correct cloth figures, Josephine and Jack, they have run workshops and provided 1-1 support that helps people with learning disabilities learn about health, relationships, and self-advocacy. Their person-centred approach has helped so many people and is widely admired.

We are saddened that the Josephine and Jack Project is winding down, but we feel honoured to continue their legacy. They have generously agreed to transfer their remaining funds, cloth figures, lesson plans, and other materials to Skills for People. This means we can continue this important work under the name “Josephine and Jack at Skills“.

At Skills for People, we want to continue Josephine and Jack and do everything that we can to make sure that it works well in the future. We hope that being part of a bigger organisation will give the project extra support, helping it to continue while staying true to its original values.

We want to thank everyone at the Josephine and Jack Project for their amazing work and for trusting us to carry it forward.

Keep an eye on our website for updates about Josephine and Jack at Skills and how you can get involved!
