Mindfulness for Life

Everyone wants to have a happier and full life.  Sometimes life can make us sad, cross, stressed, worried or tired. Mindfulness is a way to help us to live each moment and cope better with life.

We run courses and practice groups to help people with learning disabilities use Mindfulness in their lives.

PBS (Positive Behavioural Support)

Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) is a good way of supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism that are at risk of behaviours that challenge. It is a way to help people understand a person’s behaviour and make sure they get the support they really need.

It aims to make people’s lives better.  When a person’s life is good, then they are less likely to communicate with behaviour which challenges other people.

Our team of parents of disabled children will be working with the North East and Cumbria Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) Community of Practice to raise awareness among parents across the region, about PBS and how it can help.
