We are proud to share our 2025 Impact Report, celebrating another year of working alongside people with a learning disability, autistic people and their families across the North East and North Cumbria.
Together, we supported over 2,000 people, delivered more than 14,000 contacts, ran 650+ self-advocacy meetings, and provided thousands of hours of one-to-one and group support.
Voice. Support. Strength.
In 2025, we shaped our new five-year plan around three simple but powerful ideas:
- Voice – making sure people are heard, listened to and taken seriously.
- Support – providing practical, timely help that makes everyday life better.
- Strength – building a resilient organisation that can stand alongside people now and into the future.
These ideas run throughout this year’s report.
From families feeling more confident through our Positive Behaviour Support workshops, to young people and their families avoiding crisis through our Keyworker service. From self-advocates influencing local and regional services, to our Quality Checkers helping improve hospital care. From inclusive employment support in Redcar and Cleveland, to travel training, wellbeing groups and health education projects.
Real Impact
This year:
- 93% of parent carers told us they felt more confident supporting their child after our workshops.
- 100% of men attending Men of the North said they felt less lonely.
- 163 positive outcomes were achieved through our Keyworker service.
- Self-advocates influenced strategies, training, transport services and local policy.
We have continued to champion co-production, lived experience leadership, ensuring that people are not spoken for, but are supported to speak for themselves.
Looking Ahead
As well as delivering vital support, we have strengthened our governance, improved how we measure and understand our impact, and developed clearer performance and data systems. This work ensures we remain stable, sustainable and ready for the future.
We are deeply grateful to our staff, volunteers, trustees, partners and funders who make this work possible, and most of all to the people and families who trust us to work alongside them.
