This Learning Disability Week, the theme “Do you see me?” asks an important question. One that people with learning disabilities have been asking for far too long.

At Skills for People, we work alongside people with learning disabilities and autistic people to make sure their voices are heard, their rights are upheld, and their lives are seen in full. We don’t just see people – we listen, we learn, and we stand together to challenge injustice and create change.

People with learning disabilities are artists, leaders, workers, friends, family members, and vital members of our communities. Yet too often, they’re overlooked or excluded.

This week, and every week, we’re working for a world where everyone is seen, valued, and supported to live a good life, and on their own terms.
