Help and Connect

Help and Connect is our brand new service to help people with learning disabilities and their families in Newcastle upon Tyne. It will help you to get your support right and to make the most of what’s going on in your area. Our team of paid staff and volunteers includes people who use services and family carers.

Help and Connect is based at Key House, in Jesmond, Newcastle upon Tyne, where you can pop in for information, guidance, some help, or just a cup of tea in our new cafe!

Our team will help you make the most of the information we have. You can find out about

  • local services which support people with learning disabilities
  • How to use your Individual Budget to plan the services which will really help you
  • What’s going on in Newcastle – and how you can get involved
  • And don’t worry – if you feel stuck or confused, our team are on hand to help you out!

Help and Connect is a new way of working. We will be checking how it works over 2011.
