Because communication is more than words

Congratulations to everyone who took part in the recent Hear it from me! course: a group of young disabled people and their supporters got together at Skills for People in Newcastle to try out new things and to think about how we can communicate better with each other. They found lots of ways to express themselves, their personalities and their talents. They used colour, art, technology, film, and music. A highlight was a session spent with members of Apu, a local band who combine traditional Andean music with funky Latin rhythms.
